Diploma of Remedial Massage

Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training

Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy

Amanda has been a Remedial Massage Therapist for over 14 years, graduating in 2006 with a Certificate IV in Massage.

Amanda is fascinated by the human mind and body! She has continued to study it throughout the course of her life.  To better understand how to treat, rehabilitate and maintain her clients well being, using non-invasive techniques.

In 2009 Amanda upgraded to a Diploma of Remedial Massage and completed her Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training. She began incorporating mindfulness and breathing techniques learnt from both modalities into treatments and classes.

While in search of a better method that would help clients who did not respond well to Remedial Massage, Amanda discovered The Bowen Technique. She completed her Certificate IV in 2013. Since her Bowen training she has gained the proficiency to resolve a much broader variety of conditions. In a shorter timeframe and with long-term results.

Amanda believes in order to heal, the mind-body must be treated holistically. She is particularly interested in how chronic stress and unresolved trauma can impact an individual’s well being. Physically, mentally and emotionally over the their lifetime.

Amanda uses a variety of gentle bodywork techniques in her treatments learnt over her years as a therapist. Including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Craniosacral Therapy and Bowen Technique. She creates a nurturing, safe and relaxing environment for her clients who say what she does as a therapist is very unique.

Amanda is currently training to become a Pilates Instructor and hopes to utilise mindful movement and breathing to empower her clients in healing and maintaining their bodies in a safe, positive and sustainable way.

Amanda is a fellow of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society and a member of Yoga Australia.
